Investors in Pupils

At Copthorne we worked together to achieve the ‘Investors in Pupils’ award in 2021.

We are pleased to announce that we have successfully been reaccredited with the Investors in Pupils Award.

The award is based around 5 key areas:

  • Learning
  • Induction
  • Behaviour
  • Attendance
  • Classroom Management

Having achieved the award, we are continuing to improve the work we do around investing in our pupils; by developing and improving ‘Pupil Voice’. This means that pupils at Copthorne have the opportunity to express their feelings and opinions and have a say in decisions that affect them. Our pupils also have the opportunity to take on additional roles and responsibilities such as a befriender, office assistant or classroom monitor.

We are continuing to improve our understanding of the role of governors and their impact on our school.

Our school council work closely with our Investors in Pupil co-ordinator. The minutes from their meetings are displayed around school and in the entrance area for all of our visitors to read.

See the images below to view some of the fantastic work taking place at our school.
