Year 3 pupils performed a Diwali Assembly. Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is often referred to as the Festival of Lights. It is a time of light overcoming darkness and good triumphing over evil. Common ways of celebrating include lighting lamps (diyas) and candles in homes and streets, decorating with rangoli (colourful patterns), sharing sweets and meals with family and friends, and enjoying fireworks.

We are incredibly proud to share some wonderful news.
One of our talented pupils’ has been crowned the national winner of British Wool’s festive design competition. The challenge was to create a brand‑new Christmas jumper for Shaun the Sheep, in support of Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day campaign.
Her design was selected as the winning entry from over 800 submissions from primary schools across mainland UK – an extraordinary achievement!
The winning jumper features the brilliantly creative “three wise sheep”, and it looks absolutely amazing.
This is a fantastic accomplishment, and we couldn’t be prouder of her hard work and creativity. A huge well done to our budding designer!
